A family from Kiambu county that had been preparing for a celebration in the coming days has been forced to change plans.

They had been looking forward to celebrating Regina Nduta Kungu, who was set to mark another significant milestone in her life.
Regina was scheduled to renew her marriage vows after 25 years on Saturday, August 23, at ACK Njunu.
However, that joyous day will never come after Regina, a mother of three, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep.
What was the cause of Regina's death?

"After the postmortem process, the cause was determined to be lung pneumonia," read a Facebook post.
Regina had previously suffered another family tragedy before her untimely death. In 2024, her nephew, who suffered from epilepsy, a brain condition that causes recurring seizures, according to Mayo Clinic, went missing.
Evangelist Mercy Nungari had shared a missing person announcement in the hope of finding him. Sadly, the boy was later found dead in Thika, leaving the family devastated.
"May the Lord of peace that surpasses all human understanding visit the entire family," the post concluded.
