Allan Kitavi: Family Reveals Slain Lecturer Divided 60-Acre Land, Charred Documents Found Near Body

Komarock, Nairobi: The family of lecturer Allan Kitavi, who was found dead at the home of his second wife, has revealed that he had divided 60 acres of land among his eight siblings before he died.

On August 11, Kitavi, a well-known figure within the Komarock community after being the head of the residents' association for many years, was sadly found dead at the home of his second wife in Thome Estate.
Kitavi was a polygamous man, and according to preliminary investigations, he may have lost his life over property.
In CCTV footage shared with the police, the retired man is seen walking with an envelope, which bore documents of how he had divided a 60-acre piece of land.
According to his first wife, Dorothy Kitavi, they owned several pieces of property, among them the Thome Estate plot, where he was found dead, but things changed when he got married to his second wife.

What was in the documents Kitavi printed?
It has now emerged that Kitavi had printed land allocation paper before his gruesome murder.
According to TV47, the chairman of the Komarock Residents' Association had printed some documents relating to his land allocation to his families just before his murder.
The documents were printed at the local cyber, and he was seen carrying an envelope towards his home just before he was killed.
At 7.21 pm on July 31, Kitavi visited a cyber cafe and shared a proposed land allocation document for a 60-acre parcel in his rural home.
In the email, each of his eight siblings was to get 7.2 acres of land.
These documents were found burnt and stuck next to Kitavi's body when his family arrived at the scene.
"Some land documents were found stuck on his shoulder when he was being burnt, and it was also charred," said his wife.
Man reacts to Allan Kitavi's death, advises men
A man who was reacting to Kitavi's death noted that there are several steps men should take to protect themselves, and one was avoiding visiting their romantic partners in their houses, for safety.
"I am sorry for the demise of lecturer Kitavi. We as men should be careful when mingling with our women and should not go to a woman's house to spend a night there; instead, invite her to your safe palace and arrange for safety and security measures," he said on Facebook.

The man said men visiting their wives or girlfriends should be careful, even with what they are served, especially if it is still during the early stages of their relationship.
"Our life depends on how we think and act, and surrendering one`s sovereignty or being too generous or being too soft to someone may lead to destruction. This information has been tailored to young and inexperienced men and women to caution them to put up posts to fortify their territories, walk away from where they are not valued, to avert a catastrophe," he added.
Did Allan Kitavi's wife grab his land?
In another story, Dorothy shared that when she went to visit the plot of land they had in Thome, her co-wife appeared and threatened dire consequences if she was ever seen there again.
The couple owned the plot and another piece of land where her husband and co-wife used to farm.

According to investigators, they had never seen a murder that gruesome in a long time.
The family of Kitavi in Komarock was alerted by their siblings, who lived in Thome, that their dad was unconscious in the driveway.
When they reached there, Kitavi's body was in a sorry state.
