This is after the 45-year-old underwent a delicate head surgery that immobilised her and changed her course of life.

How Nasimiyu fell sick

Nasimiyu's sister, Everne Wafula, told TUKO.co.ke that the sibling collapsed two months ago and was rushed to Rapha Hospital, where doctors discovered a blood clot in her head.

She underwent surgery last Monday to remove part of her skull, with another procedure scheduled for December to replace the missing bone.

“She is helpless now; she has to be fed, bathed, and carried like a baby. She is on diapers, which are very costly, and also needs medicine for blood circulation and pain relief.

Due to the costs of medication, the family is financially drained and wondering what the next step is for them.

Nasimiyu's mother falls into depression

Wafula, who works as a house help in Kimilili, earning KSh 5,000 a month, said the burden of care has fallen on their widowed mother, who is also unwell.

The strain has taken a toll on the elderly woman’s mental health, leaving her deeply depressed and talking to herself.

The family says they urgently need a wheelchair to help move Nasimiyu around, as well as support for medical expenses and basic care items.

“This situation is breaking us emotionally and financially,” Wafula said, her voice heavy with emotion.

Well-wishers willing to help the family can reach Everlyne Blessed Wafula on 0714886879.

Mother requests well-wishers to adopt her infant

Elsewhere, a 40-year-old mother is requesting willing individuals or families to adopt her five-month-old lastborn daughter.

Mercy Njambi Kinyua says her baby has become a stumbling block to her progress as she is unable to find a stable job while babysitting.

Njambi is married to a man who doesn't provide and is unable to secure work, which leaves her desiring to stabilise and move out of the toxic environment.
