Days after Brandi Smith-Lee and her husband, David Lee, were allegedly shot in cold blood by their son, his best friend has recalled a call he had with his pal.

On August 9, 2025, the 14-year-old boy confessed to shooting and killing his parents and surrendered at a local church.
According to police officers who responded after his 911 call, they later found the young man in a church.
Days later, Trevor's best friend came out to talk about the relationship he had with the Lee family.

"They loved me like a son," Kyree Beamon told News4JAX.'
According to Kyree Beamon, Trevor Lee called him just after midnight, and he didn’t believe it when he first heard the news that someone he thought he knew well was charged with such a grave crime.
"He told me that he loved me and that he was just calling to tell me goodnight," he said of his friend whom he described as being a vibe and always charismatic.
The teen also revealed that he did not know the Trevor who killed his parents but knew the one who grew up with him and was a good person.
He intimated that he was going to support the Trevor he grew up with.
Trevor Lee is in police custody, accused of two counts of second-degree murder.

Brandi Smith-Lee complain about Trevor Lee?
In another story, it emerged that Brandi had complained about Trevo's behaviour in 2019, and in 2025, he allegedly killed her.
The body of Brandi was found alongside that of her husband in their home, and it was a few hours after they had a quarrel with their son.
When Brandi first talked about her child's behaviour, many people sympathised with her and shared their own tribulations as well.
