A Kenyan woman was amazed at the great lengths her nanny went to in trying to make a simple dish remarkable.
The nanny’s only task was to prepare ugali, but she went the extra mile to impress her employer.
She didn’t follow the simple method of boiling water and adding flour. Instead, she integrated other ingredients into the dish.
In her preparation of the African staple, she used oil and onions as part of the ingredients.
Kabura's sister stunned by nanny's meal
She fried the onions before proceeding to make the meal, adding water and flour to the mixture.
“My sister went to serve food and found it was fried ugali with onions and carrots 😂😂 But surprisingly, it’s sweet,” TikTok user iam.kabura wrote.
She took a video of the cooked meal, leaving many surprised, as it had a different color from the usual ugali because of how it was prepared.
Kabura’s sister had called her over to witness the new style of making ugali after making the discovery.
