On July 28, 2025, Maurren Njer had just seen her friend off and returned for the night only to wake up days later, drenched in blood.

Additionally, the young woman bore a swollen face and eyes and intense pain but had no memory of the attack until she pieced events together later.

After two weeks, Maureen told TUKO.co.ke what happened and the identity of the person who badly injured her and left her dying.

The worried woman also appealed for help from well-wishers to get a job because she was scared the suspect might return to hurt her again.

3. Kasarani: Lecturer found dead at 2nd wife's home, family speaks painfully

Allan Kitavi, a well-known figure in Komarock for heading the residents' association for many years and later becoming the chairman of the body's board of trustees, was sadly killed.

CCTV footage seen by the police showed what took place and took the life of Kitavi, who had retired and had turned to farming. Kitavi was a polygamous man, and after preliminary investigations, it was said that he may have lost his life over property.

Kitavi's first wife, Dorothy, claimed they owned the Thome plot with her husband, but later things changed when he married his second wife.

In Wandutu village, located in Gatundu, mourners watched in horror as Julius Mbogo was buried within just 15 minutes.

The rushed burial was reportedly due to a heated property dispute pitting his wives against each other, which saw him buried without a service or an elaborate final goodbye.

The shocking burial sparked outrage as well as conversations about family feuds, inheritance, and the dignity of the dead.
