The hopeful search for their missing kin ended in heartbreak after the reported family member was found dead.
Brian Kimutai Kipngetich went missing on Sunday, July 27, and was last seen at Village Inn.

The family launched a desperate search for the young man, who was last seen wearing black shorts, a cream shirt, and black crocs.

Three weeks later, the distressed family shared shattering news about the 26-year-old university student.
"I sincerely wish to thank everyone who helped in the searching and sharing of the post I made days ago about Brian. Sadly, he was found yesterday at the Kitale morgue after a tragic road accident. Your prayers, calls, and support mean so much to us. May God bless you all.
Asante. I will keep you posted," Lilly Rutto, Kimutai's aunt, shared on her social media account.
How did JKUAT student Kimutai die?
Kimutai's education journey at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) tragically came to an end following the accident that claimed his life.
Rutto shared another update as she paid an emotional tribute to her nephew, who met his fate untimely.
"Rest in peace, Senge đŸ¥º. Though it's hard to believe that you're gone this soon, you had promised to come home this month—not knowing you’d come in a casket," she added.
