Mum of Man Who Allegedly Killed Pregnant Wife Shares His Last Text, Says He Sent Her KSh 1k

Tanzania: A shaken woman whose son has killed his pregnant wife has shared their last conversations in person, through the phone and his instructions after sending her KSh 1000.

The young man allegedly killed his wife because of jealousy and later confessed to the police.
In an interview with Jambo TV, the suspect’s mother shared disturbing details about her son before the heartbreaking incident.
"His only problem with his wife was that he never liked seeing her go anywhere. Whenever they she went out they would have a problem, " he said.

The sister of the deceased also emotionally disclosed information about the relationship between her sibling and the suspect.

What was the young husband's message?
Sometime ago, she had observed that the couple was not very god-fearing, and she prayed as well as fasted for them, and they started changing their ways.
"When he called, he said mum please forgive me. I don't have hope when you enter here, you cannot come out. He tried every way to take his life, but it didn't happen," he said.
"I really wanted to follow my wife. I have sent you KSh 1000, when you come to my place, ask for help to break the door. I am leaving my child with you, and you will meet me at my father's (God's) place. I have sent you the last cash because you will not see me again," she said of their conversation.
It emerged that the young man tried to run away, but his eyes were strangely unable to see the path until the time he got to the police station, and knelt to confess.
Despite everything that happened, the stricken mum still insists that his son loved God so much and used to follow his ways.

Neighbours narrate fight between Emmanuel and Martha
On the night of the tragic incident, Emmanuel and his wife, Martha, had a heated argument at home.
Neighbours revealed that jealousy was rife in their relationship, as the boda boda rider never wanted to see his wife leave the house to mingle with others.
“His desire was that whenever he returned home, he would find his wife there. He did not want her leaving the house at all. He wanted her confined to the four walls of their shelter,” a neighbour said.
After committing the atrocity, he surrendered to the police, and when officers went to the house, they found Martha’s body lying on the bed, covered with a sheet. She was taken to the mortuary as investigations started.
An autopsy revealed that the deceased was six months pregnant, adding to the family’s grief.
Her sister also spoke, and painfully mourned her.
“They were always having fights. We advised her to leave him, or at least take a break, but she still stayed. Emmanuel would return home drunk and cause chaos. It has been going on for a long time. He once almost set her on fire,” she said.
Tragedy as separated man allegedly kills 3 children
Residents of Ngogona village were left in shock after 44-year-old Wilson Kiiza allegedly killed three of his children, leaving one in critical condition.
Police confirmed the incident, stating that the 44-year-old, currently admitted to the hospital, would face murder charges.
Before succumbing, one of the children told police what had transpired and how they ended up in critical condition.
