"Though I regretted and publicly apologised in 2019 for straying and fathering twins out of wedlock, I never stopped taking care of those beautiful girls. From their education to every responsibility, I have always been there for them.
Now, one of them is sick, and friends have walked this journey with me in seeking treatment. From artists, comedians, and many media personalities, they have stood with me as this child receives treatment," he said.
Mwangi opens up on SHA issue with Githae
This came after Mwangi had reached out to Githaiga wa Chaai, sharing her grievances and claiming Githae had neglected his fatherly duty.
She alleged that Githae told her the Social Health Authority (SHA) would cover their daughter’s operation and blood transfusion.
"Whenever I tell him (Githae) that the child needs blood, he says SHA will pay. When and where will SHA ever pay for such? I had his other child who was undergoing an operation, and I had to call friends, but now they cannot contribute further. He says he is too old to donate blood," Mwangi’s chats read.

Githae's daughter to undergo surgery at KNH
TUKO.co.ke reached out to Mwangi, who clarified her earlier remarks on her baby daddy.
"It is true that he has been helping out, and I understand sometimes it can be difficult. I know it has been draining because recently I was with the other twin daughter, who was undergoing stomach surgery, and it cost a lot of money. However, how am I supposed to get help when I am not working? I don’t have money to pay the hospital bills," she said.
Hours later, Githae appealed to Kenyans to help him and his baby mama as they sought treatment for their eight-year-old daughter, Sharon Wacera, who was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), ward 5C. He also shared his baby mama’s phone number for assistance.
