A family is reeling in pain and shock following the unfortunate and untimely demise of several members.

Three young sisters met their fate in the tragic house fire that consumed them and their possessions.
The victims included 12-year-old Ela Namiiro, five-year-old Aman Sarah Namuleme, and three-year-old Tara Namujju.
Where did the house fire incident happen?
They were all in the house when the fire broke out, having been left unattended while their parents were away.
Their mother had allegedly attended a night party around 1a,, while their father was at work in Jinja, Uganda.
The heartbreaking incident happened in Mpala Cell, Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District, leaving residents and the victims' family shattered.
"According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Public Relations Officer ASP Luke Oweyesigyire, preliminary investigations indicate that the children’s mother, Nalubwama Julie, had left them alone at home while their father, Kavuma Lenon, was away in Jinja for work." Yougandan reported.
Mpala LC1 Chairperson responds to house fire
The fire was noticed by neighbors, who quickly alerted the local authorities.
The Mpala LC1 Chairperson was the first to report the incident to the police.
The fire and rescue services responded rapidly and managed to extinguish the flames before they could spread further.
However, the three children succumbed to the fire, with one being burnt beyond recognition.
Some of the victims' bodies were found partly outside the house and partly inside the burnt structure.
Ugandan kids' deaths spark child safety concerns
Local leaders and child protection advocates renewed calls for heightened parental responsibility and public awareness to prevent such tragedies.
The incident sparked concerns about child safety and the need for vigilance when young children are at home, especially at night.
A photo shared online showed the three coffins of the young sisters who died in the fire.
Their portraits were placed against the coffins as mourners painfully grieved their demise.

Kirinyaga mum, two kid die in house fire
Closer home, a family in Kirinyaga county was also in distress after a mother and her two children died in a house fire.
They were killed in an alleged arson attack, leaving residents in agony and with unanswered questions.
According to neighbors, the incident followed a domestic dispute between a man and his wife.
One witness said he heard the children pleading with their father not to stab their mother during the fight.
