Kenyan Woman Catches Housemaid with Sack of Reportedly Stolen Shopping Hidden in Her Room

She was stunned to find stacks of reportedly stolen goods stashed in the room. The items ranged from foodstuffs to washing detergents.

Kenyan woman unpacks allegedly stolen shopping items

"A woman has confronted her housemaid after uncovering a hidden sack of allegedly stolen shopping in her room. The shocking discovery was made while the maid was away," read the caption.

The woman, dressed in a blue dera, began unpacking the items one by one, showing them on camera.

There were at least three bags of rice, which she claimed had been stolen under her nose.

She also held up a blue paper bag containing several eggs, noting that there were more hidden in another bag.

What items had househelp allegedly stolen?

"Tell me where I should start from. These are matchsticks, spaghetti, and the others are clothes," the upset woman said.

She also revealed that whenever she gave her househelp money, the employee would save it instead.

She showed a collection of coins, mostly KSh 20, along with a few notes, ranting as she confronted her.

The woman then tore into a stack of bar soap and packets of milk that the househelp had allegedly stored in her room.

Kenyan woman threatens to report househelp to police

Meanwhile, the househelp sorrowfully sat on the bed after reportedly being caught, pleading for mercy and forgiveness.

Her boss, however, was too angry and threatened to take her to the police station.

When asked if she had anyone she wanted to call, the househelp replied that she had no one, still begging for forgiveness.

"Alright. You will defend yourself at the Lang'ata Women's Prison. Pack your things, we begin the journey," the fuming boss told her.

Nairobi househelp who stole employer's KSh 2.2 million arrested

In another story, a househelp who stole KSh 2.2 million from her employer was arrested in Kakamega county.

Upon interrogation by DCI detectives, Fleviar Muhonja Anaya led officers to her grandmother's house in Vihiga county.

The suspect was detained at Capitol Hill Police Station as she awaited her day in court.
