Abby was speaking at the Nairobi Chapel on August 19, where family and friends gathered to hold the requiem mass for the late pilot.

When Abby, her siblings, and her mum were called to speak about their dad, she said that the past few days had been the most difficult days of her life.

"It is difficult to accept that my dad is gone and he wouldn't be attending my milestones such as birthdays and graduations," she said.

Why did Abby admire Munuve?

Aby shared about her dear father, who also lost a friend four years ago, and he found strength. He was at least relieved that he would find a familiar face there in the afterlife.

"When it was his loss, he pushed through, and now it is our turn to do so; I will try, for you dad," said Abby.
"Because I know what you wanted from me, I will try and be what you wanted me to be, and if we meet again, I will have so much to tell you. You meant so much to so many people I wish you were here to see how many people have shown up for us," she added .

According to Abby, Munuve's friend said that he shaped how they view the world, while another shared how much he loved his family and often spoke about them and his generosity.

What did Munuve's text say?

"This is so unfair; daddy you should be here with your mum, daughter, wife, siblimgs, friends and cats. You should see me turn 22, and many people call me a daddy's girl. Thank you for all you have been to me, thank you for being my dad," she said.
"On August 7, less than 30 minutes you texted me that you were going on your flight. I'm grateful for the short time that I have had with you. Thank you so much for everything that you have been to me," she adcded.
