A young girl from Kitui county who lost touch with her family has finally been reunited with them.

Mutheu abandoned in Ngummo-bound matatu
The little girl was allegedly abandoned by her mother, sparking a desperate search by her relatives.

Mutheu was reportedly left behind by her mum in a Ngummo-bound matatu in Nairobi county.
Fortunately, she fell into caring hands as she was taken to a children's home, where she remained until news reached her family.

Christine Ndanu Kadot, who had been at the forefront of reuniting the young girl with her family, noted that it was not easy to rescue her from the children's home due to the legal processes involved.
Mutheu's father makes call
She shared an update from Mutheu's family, noting that the girl's father, who had been tirelessly looking for his daughter, reached out to her.
"Lupita Mutheu’s father has just called me! Wow! He says that when his wife and child went missing, he reported the matter at the nearest police station (Mekalaa Laini Saba–Kibra–Nairobi).
Now, that OB Number is very important at the Children’s Department. It shows that someone was concerned, that his family went missing, and he took action. You all are witnesses to these matters! 🙆🙆 The man comes from Katamani–Mutitu wa Ndooa, Kitui, and his wife (Lupita’s mother) comes from Kisama, Waita–Mwingi," she shared.
It was not long before Mutheu's uncle, Savali Kimanzi, took his niece in after meeting her three years later.
Mutheu reunites with her maternal uncle
Kadot revealed that Mutheu's maternal uncle had fought hard to take his lost niece under his wing after all she had been through.
"Lupita Mutheu has finally been reunited with her family. Her maternal uncle, Savali Kimanzi, has fought hard to have her back home from the children's home. He also takes care of Mutheu's younger sister, Esther," she disclosed.
Kadot shared a lovely picture of Mutheu with her uncle, warmly embracing her after the reunion.
They were all smiles as Mutheu looked pleased and relieved to be back together with her family after a long time.

Nairobi mum reunites with son who ran away from home
In another story, a Nairobi mother was relieved after reuniting with her young son, who had run away from home.
The little boy had allegedly fled due to the lack of a television in their home to keep him entertained.
He was rescued from the streets by Chief Officer Environment (CEO) Geoffrey Mosiria, who also reunited him with his mum.
