A woman from Kilifi county is living in pain due to an underlying illness that has rendered her immobile.

Esther Kazungu has been in agony for a long time because of an infection that has caused her right leg to swell.

How much does Kazungu's daughter need?

She needs an urgent operation, but a lack of finances has left her stranded at home, relying only on some medication.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the suffering woman noted that she has a child stuck in the hospital due to unpaid bills.

"I have a child, my daughter, Isabela, in the hospital. She underwent a surgery. The medical facility is demanding KSh 40,000 for her to be released. Unfortunately, that is a lot of money for me, for her, and all of us. We cannot afford it.

"She is my only breadwinner as she is the only one financially stable in this family. I depend on her for everything, but now there is no one to take care of me. My kids depend on me, yet I am incapacitated," she cried.

Why did Kazungu's husband leave her?

Kazungu, who can barely stand, said her husband left her in that painful and heartbreaking state.

He could not continue caring for her due to her sickness and abandoned her, leaving her with a heavy burden on her shoulders.

"I have no one to help me or my family except my daughter Isabela, who is stranded in the hospital. Yet, at this rate, we all need help. I am in great pain," she said.

Kazungu's plea to well-wishers for her daughter

Kazungu had several types of medicine, but complained they were not effective because she needed food to take them properly.

However, even buying food for the family was a big challenge due to their dire financial situation.

She pleaded with well-wishers to help her get treatment and also raise money for her daughter in the hospital.

"I am at my wits' end. I do not know what to do. I am in pain and desperate need of help. I have no one to care for me or my kids. We have no money or food. All I have is God as I wait for help from kind Kenyans. Please help me. Help me get treatment. I cannot sleep because of this pain. It is too much," she cried.

Kiambu boda rider dumped after accident

In a separate story, a Kiambu boda boda rider was dumped by his lover after breaking his leg in a road accident.

Eufred Mburu said he was recuperating in the hospital when he received a call from his friend with updates about his lover.
