Kenyan Woman Delights Netizens After Furnishing Dad's Modest Mud House Before Graduation

Gladie Vanessah and her dad are over the moon as she has fulfilled her first out of five resolutions for the year, and it was to furnish her dad's modest house.

In an inspiring video, the fresh graduate shows a house made of mud with simple and aged furnishings such as seats, cupboards and table.

The young woman also showcased the new furniture, which entailed a huge seven-seater sofa set.

"I really prayed to God, saying that before my graduation in November, please let me furnish my dad's house," she told TUKO.co.ke.

"Since I lost my mum I just wanted to make mzee proud. He wa so happy, just like I wanted; you can see him out there. Let's do for our parents what we can when they are still alive," she said.

Why did Gladdie buy the furniture?

According to the young woman, it was the first out of five resolutions of 2025, and she was happy it was done.

"I am in tears. What was your resolution for this year? Say it from your mouth to God's ears.May God make it possible for you to change your parents home and lives too when they are still alive.
"I really cried and thanked God for this despite that my mum is not here with us, I know she can watch from heaven and she is proud of her daughter too. Here is a successful year I can't wait to graduate and get employed so as to complete my goal for this year," she added.
