TikTok user Habu was among the many Kenyans who supported the Harambee Stars during the tournament by attending their matches.

He was at a crucial and thrilling match at Kasarani Stadium, joined by fellow Kenyan supporters.

As he enjoyed the charged atmosphere just before kickoff, he recorded a video showing how packed the stadium was.

It was at that moment that his mother tried to reach him, but he was busy livestreaming what was happening.

When last did Habu's mum send him WhatsApp text?

"I'll call you back. My mum is calling again," read the text inside the TikTok video that went viral online.

Since he could not pick up the call at that moment, Habu's mum sent him a WhatsApp voice note.

They seem to have a close bond, as prior to the voice note they had communicated a few days earlier.

Their last chats were dated Monday, August 11, with Habu's mother appreciating her son for a kind gesture.
