Sharon Chepng'etich brought her loving father to tears after her thoughtful gesture towards him at home.

When did Chepng'etich's father start working?

The young lady celebrated her father Andrew’s retirement in a special way with an amazing surprise.

Chepng'etich bought her 60-year-old father a sleek Toyota Fielder as his retirement gift, as she shared with TUKO.co.ke.

“My father was retiring after 29 years in service. He has been serving as Mosonik area chief since 1999. I wanted to do something for him to celebrate him,” she said.

What car did Chepng'etich buy her dad?

Chepng'etich said she settled on the gift, a Toyota Fielder, because she wanted her father to have a vehicle to move around easily.

She had previously thought of buying herself a car but saw it wise to gift her sexagenarian dad instead.

“My dad has been there for me and my siblings. He has taken care of us well since we were young. He took us to school and supported us all the way,” the teacher said.

She could not overemphasize the role her father played in her upbringing, for which she was deeply grateful.

What was Andrew's occupation?

Chepng'etich noted her father was a man of few words and a disciplinarian, which worked out well even in his career as a chief.

“He is a good man,” Chepng'etich praised her father, who was emotional as he received his KSh 780,000 car.

Andrew was in tears as he hugged his third-born daughter, who noted that her father never imagined he would one day own such a gift.

“Never would he have imagined owning a car one day,” Chepng'etich said, feeling proud of making her father happy.

How did Andrew respond for Chepng'etich's gift?

She said her father blessed her and her siblings for the gift, and they received his blessings with open hearts.

Chepng'etich, who planned for the gift in just a week, advised children to show love to their parents while they are still alive.

“It does not matter how big or small the gift is. Learn to appreciate them when they are alive. My dad always appreciates gifts, even if it is something little. A gift is a gift. Appreciate them with what you have and what you can,” she implored.
