The couple looked forward to celebrating the day by renewing their vows in front of family and friends at ACK Njunu, Kiambu.

But life wrote a different script.

How did Regina Nduta die?

Instead of wedding bells, sobs filled the air. Instead of a bridal march, there was a slow, heavy procession to the grave.

The white gown Nduta had lovingly chosen now lay untouched, a haunting reminder of a future that never came.

Just a week ago, as final preparations were underway and outfits neatly arranged, tragedy struck.

Nduta passed away peacefully in her sleep. A postmortem revealed pneumonia in her lungs, a silent killer that snatched her away without warning.

Her husband, who had counted down to this day with so much anticipation, was left shattered.

In a deeply emotional act of love and loyalty, her bridal team wore the same outfits they had prepared for the vow renewal.

The church, meant to echo with wedding songs, became a sanctuary of mourning. The same altar that was supposed to witness the couple’s renewed vows now bore Regina’s casket.

For her husband, the pain is indescribable. He had envisioned holding her hand today, looking into her eyes, and saying, “I still do.”

Instead, he stood by her grave, bidding farewell to the love of his life, a love that spanned decades but ended too soon.
