A middle-aged man was found dead on Monday morning, his lifeless body sprawled beside his white Pajero IO.

Eyewitness accounts in Muthiga murder

The discovery was made at dawn along the road, with the blood splattered across the road painting a grim picture of a violent struggle.

In an interview with KBC TV, eyewitnesses confirmed that the victim had injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The residents say they believe the man was ambushed by a gang that attacked him before fleeing with his valuables.

“He was killed, then a gang of people stole his things. I saw it,” an eyewitness, Elvis Koech, told Inooro TV, his voice trembling as he recounted the incident.

According to the head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kikuyu, Omondi Ogolla, the report came in around 7:30 a.m.

The body was later moved to Thogoto Mortuary, where a post-mortem will determine the exact cause of death.

His car was towed to Kikuyu Police Station as detectives piece together what happened during those final, terrifying moments of his life.
