In a heartfelt statement on Facebook, Kirui detailed the sacrifices he has made to ensure his children's well-being.

Kirui regrets sacrifices he made for family

This includes timely school fee payments, maintaining a steady food supply, and providing essential household needs such as firewood and water.

However, despite his efforts, he expressed disappointment that his contributions were not enough to maintain harmony within his family.

His decision to install CCTV cameras in his home and compound, he revealed, led to painful discoveries that left him with deep regret.

While he did not elaborate on the nature of the footage, he implied that it had influenced his decision to take sole responsibility for his children.

"I beg my children to cooperate with the unplanned situation and accept me as the only parent since I can't stand this anymore," he stated.

Kirui now focusing on business

On a separate note, Kirui reassured stakeholders and clients of his organization that operations would continue as usual.

He announced that key business sectors, including clean water provision, transportation, and tree nursery projects, would proceed uninterrupted.

However, the dairy and poultry departments have been relocated, with a detailed report on the changes set to be released soon.

To emotionally and psychologically protect the children during times of family disruptions, parents can support their children in the following days:

1. Provide a stable and nurturing environment for the children to adjust to the disruption

2. Seek counselling for and with their children.

3. Have open communication.

4. Avoid involving kids in their arguments and forcing them to pick sides.

5. Rely on close family and friends for childcare especially for parents embarking on single parenthood.
