A lady has taken to social media to share her concern after her best friend failed to return home after meeting a lover she met on a dating app.

In a plea shared on X (formerly Twitter), the lady shared that her friend left home for a romantic rendezvous with her online lover a week ago and has yet to return.
In the post, the concerned lady narrated that she had been in communication with her friend after she went on the date, but on the date she was meant to return home, she noted a strange pattern in her WhatsApp chats.
"We have been communicating, and so today she was supposed to come back, but she has been texting weird stuff," she said, suspecting that she was no longer chatting with her friend.

"I tried calling her number, but she’s not picking up, and when I called again, she answered but was quiet," she anxiously said.
Odd WhatsApp chats
The lady started becoming apprehensive of her friend's safety after she noted her WhatsApp messages did not sound like her friend.
"Looks like she’s not the one texting," she said.
Her friend also sent her WhatsApp messages, insisting that she was safe, but she would not agree to pick up her phone.
