The devastated woman, Wanjiru, claimed that the man, identified as Max, sent her a message saying he had been arrested and was in trouble.

Wanjiru noted that Max asked her to send him KSh 30,000 so he could travel back to Kenya to deal with the problem in Dubai.

“I had to find him the money because he said he was going to book a flight for the next day. But today, when he was supposed to travel, someone called Ahmed sent me a message saying Max was dead. I have not had peace since then,” she narrated.

Wanjiru, sceptical about the news, asked for photos as proof that her husband was truly dead — but Ahmed refused to share any.

“I asked him, how would I know if that’s true? He told me he couldn’t send me any images. I also couldn’t reach my husband on the phone, which left me and his mum worried,” said Wanjiru.

Is Max dead?

Speaking during a live interview with VOO TV, Sally, who is also based in Dubai, confirmed that Max was very much alive and revealed that she had seen him earlier that day.

“Max is alive. He’s not dead, and I can find him. We were together yesterday evening and this morning. He’s not even sick,” she stated.

She also confirmed that Max had not been arrested and admitted she wasn’t aware that he had a wife back in Kenya.

According to Sally, Max had told people in Dubai that his mother had died a week earlier.

However, his wife back in Kenya confirmed that his mother was alive and well, and said the woman was also deeply concerned about her son’s alleged death in a foreign land.

Wanjiru, in tears, said she was heartbroken by the betrayal but was trying to accept the situation and move on.
