However, one man’s secret affair stirred outrage and disapproval from his community after he brought his side chick home.
Drama unfolded in a village in Sakina when a woman, Amina (not her real name), caught her husband cheating.
The man had reportedly brought his side chick into their matrimonial home while his wife was away.
While at work, Amina received a phone call from her neighbours informing her that something suspicious was happening in her house.
"When she got home, the husband refused to open the door. The good thing is that the woman was clever, she called the village chairman, who then ordered the husband to open the door," narrated one neighbour.
The man had allegedly hidden his side chick under the bed, leaving villagers who had gathered at the scene in shock.
What did the neighbours say?
Speaking to the press, one of the neighbours advised that the man should have spoken to his wife if he intended to marry a second wife.
"He should be punished for emotionally assaulting his wife and desecrating their home," she said.
Another neighbour urged the couple to engage in regular dialogue to identify and resolve any issues before they escalate to such levels of disrespect.
"Sometimes the problems are within, and if each party opens up, they can avoid such drama and infidelity," she noted.

The heartbroken Amina revealed that her husband's side chick had visited their home in her absence more than five times.
"My husband said they have children together, and he never told me until today when I caught him red-handed," she said.
Amina further stated that she had decided to forgive her husband.
"I decided to forgive him so that he can learn from what happened today—he should never repeat this," she said.
She also advised men against taking their side chicks to their matrimonial homes.
In an unexpected twist, the husband admitted to his mistake, saying he had not been feeling well, which is why he invited the woman to the house.
"He's a driver, he didn’t go to work today and decided to invite the side chick," said another neighbour.
