“They’ve had a strained relationship for a while now, they’re always on and off—though they have a beautiful baby girl who lives with Cate,” she said.

As the argument escalated, Cate reportedly warned him that she would call the police to have him removed from her house.

Angered by her threat, the man allegedly turned violent and told her that he would take her to the police station himself.

“That’s when he began beating Cate, saying he was taking her to the station to file a report, and left her with serious injuries,” her sister explained.

Upon their arrival at the police station, Cate was allegedly turned away and told to go back home and reflect on the situation.

“We’re shocked the police told her to go home and think, despite clearly seeing she was bleeding and had been assaulted,” her sister said.

“Cate’s best friend already knew the two had a toxic relationship. When she received the call and heard Cate crying, she immediately began recording,” she said.

In the audio obtained by TUKO.co.ke, Cate is heard crying and begging her baby daddy to let her go.

The man is heard threatening her, saying he would punish and even kill her, all while physically assaulting her.

“Get up, let’s go. You insulted me on the phone, and you said you wanted to go to the police—let’s go so I can show you where they are. You provoked me, and now you’ll die because I’m not done with you,” he said.

Cate is heard denying the insult and pleading for him to stop, crying out in pain.

“You’ll kill me. Please stop. I’ll cooperate and we’ll go. You’re doing this because you’re stronger than me,” she cried.

When she told him he was hurting her, the officer mocked her, questioning her whereabouts and taunting her.

Family demands justice after assault by GSU officer

The family is now calling for justice, expressing fear for Cate’s safety, especially since the man allegedly comes from a wealthy and well-connected background.

“He’s a GSU officer and keeps saying there’s nothing we can do because of his family’s wealth and influence. All we want is justice and protection for my sister. What happened to her was completely unfair,” Cate’s sister said.
