He was persistent, following up with messages and calls for three months until she finally agreed to date him.

Her efforts to communicate were met with a slap and a beating.
“I cried like never before. I’d never experienced domestic violence in my life,” she shared. “I kept asking myself, what did I put myself into?”
Glorious Child clung to dysfunctional marriage
Despite the pain, she stayed, clinging to the vows of “for better or for worse.” She took on the role of both provider and homemaker, spending her own money to stock the home with necessities.
Then came a glimmer of hope; she found out she was pregnant.
Around the same time, her husband unexpectedly secured a high-ranking job, something her family had prophesied years earlier: that any man who married her would receive favour and prosperity.
Still, the emotional toll of the relationship lingered.

Glorious Child's marriage collapsed
His earlier job as a bank marketer had paid poorly, and she had believed that financial strain was the root of his mistreatment.

The former lovebirds have since parted ways, with Glorious Child working towards rebuilding her life afresh.
Her story, now going viral, is being shared widely as a cautionary tale of trusting actions over words and the importance of recognising red flags, no matter how late.
