Funkuta's moment of madness
It is difficult to imagine that Funkuta, a man who seemed to always have a smile on his face, would turn against his wife and her brother.
Police records show that he signed out the firearm earlier that morning at 05:05 hours, reportedly to follow up on a case.
However, he used the AK-47 rifle with serial number 1674 to kill the two before turning it on himself.
The weapon, which had one live round in the chamber and two remaining in the magazine, was found clamped to his chest with the safety catch open.
