As a result, he was forced to live on the streets, as he lacked the money to rent a room or return to his village.

“I left home because things were hard. My family and friends abandoned me because of my condition, and a friend I grew up with in Kitale promised to host me for a while. But when I got to Nairobi, he ghosted me,” said Collins.

The man, who had one of his legs amputated, said he had mainly travelled to the capital because he had an appointment to get a prosthetic leg.

Facing this setback, he sought help from Mosiria, who supported him in attending his appointment and getting the prosthetic leg.

The young man said he had changed from his previous life of crime and was now ready to settle down and love Joy.

“I started fending for myself at a very young age, as my mother raised me at her parents’ home. Many resented me there, and I got into theft and pickpocketing to find food and care for myself,” he explained.

Joy said she believed people can change and was not bothered by the fact that Collins was once a thief.

“I am very happy to have the prosthetic leg, and we have also been talking with Joy. I hope to build a life together with her. I will love her with all my heart and never hurt her,” said Collins.

The two professed their love for each other, and Joy offered to take him to Mwea where she lives.

“I am ready to host him as we figure out our lives together. I will take care of him, and he will not return to the streets,” said Joy.

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a 27-year-old woman from Umoja estate in Nairobi publicly declared her love for Apostle Dan Wema.

Yasmin Agnes carried a placard asking for Wema’s hand in marriage and even shared her contact details.

Agnes said she desired a saved, mature partner with a pure spirit, noting that Wema fit the description.

The man of God responded by sharing the woman’s photo on his social media pages, but, unfortunately, rejected her request, stating he needed time to focus on his ministry.
