Two Uber drivers cancelled her ride request, but then came him, an unshaken driver who stayed calm under pressure.

He handed her magazines to distract her from the pain, reassured her that they would make it, didn’t flinch about the mess in his car, and even spoke to the traffic police to get clearance for a faster route.

By the time they reached the hospital, she was rushed straight into theatre, and her baby’s life was saved.
The overjoyed mother disclosed that doctors, impressed by his attentiveness, even assumed he was her husband.
“May God bless you always,” Betty wrote in an emotional post, thanking the driver for his compassion. “You were God-sent. May God give you all your heart’s desires.”
The driver, identifying himself as Karis Mundu, remembered the moment vividly.
“I still remember the day, Betty. Priority was the baby, but she sent me Uber money after a day. God bless you and your daughter,” he replied.
For Betty, the memory is etched in her heart, not just as the day she became a mother, but as the day a stranger proved that humanity is still alive.

Ngina's experience with kind driver
Under the same post, another woman identified as Ngina took a trip down memory lane to 2019 when her dad passed away in a taxi while on their way to Nairobi West Hospital.

Since he had no pulse, the hospital couldn't take him, but they wrote a notification for the family to take to the police station.
"The taxi guy stayed with my brother and me as we went to Lang'ata Police Station for a permit to take my dad's body to Machakos," she recalled.
All that time, they laid him on the back seat of the taxi, only covered with my scarf, cold. At the police station, the officers took their sweet time.
For three hours, the taxi guy waited until he drove them to Machakos with the body.
"I lost his contact since, but I always say a silent prayer for him, a stranger who never gave up on us.. Wherever you are, just know a stranger prays for you every single day," she wrote.
Cab driver helps pregnant woman
Elsewhere, a routine cab ride in Nairobi turned into a life-changing moment when driver David Kinyanjui helped a woman deliver her baby in his car.
With contractions intensifying, the mother gave birth just before they reached Mbagathi Hospital, a move that made him a social media hero.
In a heartwarming twist, it happened on the same day that Kinyanjui's son was born.
