Kennedy Mwenda told the Court that he walked out of his matrimonial home after finding a sneaky picture of another man on his wife’s WhatsApp.

Message that broke Kennedy Mwenda's heart

According to Nkani, the 29-year-old narrated that the explicit image came with flirty messages that confirmed his worst fears.

“In their conversation, she replied to the man’s picture saying, ‘It looks nice and it’s really big,” Mwenda revealed, adding that he suspected his wife had a boyfriend.

But Emelda Muyunda, 28, who dragged Mwenda to court seeking divorce, said her husband had no moral ground to complain.

She accused him of serial infidelity, starting with impregnating her younger sister barely months into their marriage in 2022.

“It was an embarrassment to my family. We forgave him, but he continued cheating, first with our neighbour, then with another woman. I’ve had enough,” Emelda told the court.

Court's decision on Mwenda's marriage

Mwenda admitted the affair with his sister-in-law but defended himself, saying Emelda’s nagging pushed him away.

“She even uses charms on my clothes and shoes to stop me from seeing other women,” he claimed.

Despite his plea for forgiveness, Emelda stood firm, saying she could no longer tolerate the betrayal.

The court dissolved the marriage, ordering Mwenda to pay KSh 33,500 in compensation and provide KSh 2,700 monthly child support for their two-year-old daughter, who will remain in Emelda’s custody.

However, he was shattered when he peeped at her phone and saw another man's name with a love emoji next to it.
