Kaluma explained that the chairmanship post in the powerful committee was open for its new occupant after Nyoro refused to fight for his stay there.
"I am very disappointed that Ndindi Nyoro didn't run to continue serving as chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee," Kaluma tweeted.
The MP's sentiments amid claims by a section of Kenyans who argued that Nyoro's exit from the budget committee was called by President William Ruto.
Who replaced Ndindi Nyoro in budget committee?
Alego Usongo MP Sam Atandi was unanimously voted by his colleagues on Wednesday, March 12, to replace Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, who had been at the helm of the powerful committee since 2022.
Endebess MP Robert Pukose was elected the committee's vice chairman.
While accepting his new role, Atandi promised to enhance the fair distribution of resources across all the 290 constituencies.
The MP appreciated the importance of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in resource allocation, promising to have in picture all the constituencies in the budget-making process.
On his part, while thanking Ruto for putting him there, Pukose promised to work closely with Atandi to ensure the budget committee lives up to the expectations of Kenyans.
The changes in such committees in the National Assembly are believed to be the first scenes of the actualisation of the working pact Raila and Ruto signed.
The ODM leader is expected to have more of his loyalists being incorporated into the National Executive as Cabinet and Principal Secretaries.
Nyoro's fallout with Ruto
Meanwhile, it was never foreseen that the Kiharu MP would be unceremoniously hounded out of the budget committee, which he excitedly presided over for two years.

Nyoro took over the committee at the advent of the 13th Parliament, perhaps as a reward for his loyalty to the president.
All had been well for him until later in 2024, when he started taking a back seat in Ruto's political tram.
Nyoro had also shown indifference to some of the legislation pushed by the government.
He was entirely a no-show during the proceedings to impeach the former deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua.
Besides, Nyoro's exit from the committee was riddled with accusations of favouritism.
A host of parliamentarians accused the Kiharu lawmaker of capitalising on his chairmanship post in the budget committee to unprocedurally allocate abnormally more money to his constituency at the expense of other areas.
The anti-Nyoro onslaught was led by the leader of the Majority party in the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung'wa, and the Minority side's Junet Mohamed.
