How will Matiang'i tour the Gusii region?

According to the itinerary released by Team Matiang’i Secretariat, the former powerful CS will begin his Gusii tour in earnest on Friday.

The tour, covering key locations in both Kisii and Nyamira counties, has been described as a listening and reconnecting mission.

Matiang’i is expected to engage directly with residents through a series of meet-the-people sessions, where he will hear firsthand their concerns, aspirations, and frustrations.

The planned stopovers include Kijauri, Keroka, Keumbu, Kisii Town, and Nyamira.

Adding to the significance of the tour is the impressive political entourage from the region that will be accompanying him.

Governors Simba Arati (Kisii) and Amos Nyaribo (Nyamira) are set to receive him in their respective counties.

Senators Richard Momoima Onyonka and Okong’o Omogeni, alongside several MPs and MCAs, are also expected to join the tour.

Matiang’i will also make official courtesy visits to the county government offices of Kisii and Nyamira, where he is expected to hold private meetings with the governors and key leaders.

Miguna dismisses new opposition after Matiang'i entry

In another report, Lawyer Miguna Miguna dismissed the newly formed opposition alliance that includes Matiang’i, labelling it the "Doom Team."
