They voiced their decision to distance themselves from what they described as a system that has failed the people of Embu.
The coordinators also disclosed that they had earlier convinced Embu residents to back the Kenya Kwanza administration but have now reconsidered their stance.
"We choose to divorce the UDA party today. It is what it is. We feel like we no longer want to be associated with a system that has failed our people in terms of service delivery. Therefore, we are here to make a declaration that from today henceforth we have nothing to do with the UDA party," one coordinator said.
They also announced that they are handing over the leadership of the party in Embu to Governor Cecily Mbarire who also serves as UDA chairperson.
Expressing their disappointment, the coordinators explained that when they promoted UDA to the people of Embu, they believed they were backing a party that was God-fearing and supportive of the people, only to be let down.

On April 24, the ex-DP shared on social media that he met with representatives from Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties.
The delegation included Linturi and former lawmakers Maoka Maore of Igembe North and David Kariithi of Tigania West.
Gachagua called the meeting productive and optimistic, highlighting their discussions about forming a new political party.
During the talks, the delegation raised several concerns, including the diminishing rule of law, poor governance, underperforming health and education systems, increasing insecurity, escalating violence, and economic hardships, all compounded by cattle rustling.
The former Mathira MP remarked that, following these high-level deliberations, the group resolved to steer the nation towards a new direction.
Linturi’s move came shortly after the President signalled the possibility of offering both him and former Agriculture CS Peter Munya government positions.
