According to the MP, the time for lamenting about the electoral body is long gone, and if the opposition intends to mount any meaningful political resistance, it must roll up its sleeves and engage Kenyans directly.
"I’ve even seen some complaining about the IEBC. Votes aren’t cast by the IEBC, they’re cast by citizens. And citizens are here, watching," Osoro said.
Is the opposition too lazy to challenge Ruto?
Osoro didn’t hold back as he mocked the opposition's regular weekend meetings, which he described as recycled routines that lack strategy or vision.
In his view, the same group of opposition leaders has turned political discourse into a weekly echo chamber where nothing new is said, and no real effort is made to connect with the people on the ground.

"But how are you complaining about IEBC, when every weekend you gather in the same tiny village, seven men and one woman, talking about the same thing?" he posed, questioning the logic behind what he views as lazy politics by the opposition.
Osoro suggested that opposition leaders are stuck in a pattern of issuing press statements and chasing media coverage rather than crafting and selling policy alternatives to Kenyans.
He argued that simply repeating the phrase “Ruto must go” without a strategic plan and countrywide engagement is not just futile, but also laughable.
"You keep meeting in the same place to complain and attack one man. Meanwhile, we are out here working. Kindiki is in Meru, after that he’ll head to Kiambu. Other MPs are busy in different regions. But you seven? You’re just lazy," Osoro charged.
Does Fred Matiang’i stand a chance?
Osoro also took the opportunity to further dismiss former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i’s presidential ambitions.

He dismissed the notion that Matiang’i, who has kept a relatively low political profile in recent months, could mount a viable campaign, especially in the Kisii region.
The MP pointed out that if Matiang'i were unable to defeat Ruto while they were in government, then it would be a tough task for him now.
Reaffirming his loyalty to Ruto, Osoro firmly stated that the head of state would complete two terms in office.
"Even in Kisii, do you think someone will break through like this? If you couldn’t make it back when you were stronger, what makes you think you’ll make it now? My friend, I’m here now, and I’m the Chief Whip, stop playing games! Is everything okay or not? People are playing around with the president! He must finish his ten-year, period. Isn’t that right," he added.
Why did Kenyans criticise Osoro?
Earlier, Osoro faced public criticism after mocking Matiang’i’s potential 2027 presidential bid.

He also accused Matiang’i of wasting resources on rebranding efforts.
