Why Ngaruiya Junior ditched Gachagua

While speaking shortly after a gathering hosted by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on May 23, 2025, Ngaruiya explained the frustrations that made him ditch Riggy G's camp.

The most significant, he said, was a deep sense that Gachagua did not appreciate or value musicians.

"I left that man because he does not like musicians. I did not know that at Moses Kuria's sister's burial, he blasted the singers who were there. He endorsed me as if I had an office. But the endorsement was him just playing games with me politically because he said I have two offices, here and at the State House. It was a lie," he said.

He added that the former DP had, in another instance, fabricated a misleading narrative where he falsely claimed Ngaruiya had been offered senior roles.

According to him, this was a hollow political gesture meant to stir excitement among his supporters.

The musician also added that he switched camps because he intends to run for a position and revealed other artistes who seek to run for seats.

"Lastly, that man said he will not be giving artistes running singing certificates to artistes like Samidoh and me and other artistes here. I will be running in Subukia, and Samidoh will be running in his hometown. Karangu may also run. What is the need of staying with someone who will not give us certificates to run? Kindiki is fine, we have seen you love us and we love you too, we are with you," he added.
