"Juja MP George Koimburi has just been abducted again by the Subaru men. This time they grabbed him right outside Full Gospel Church in Mugutha, where he had gone to worship," Thang'wa said

The Kiambu senator claimed Koimburi's wife sustained injuries as she tried to block her husband from being taken by the armed men.

"Not even the screams from the worshippers could stop the DCI. And worse—his wife Mama Shiru is injured. She was forcefully removed from the Subaru after insisting she should be arrested together with her husband," the Kiambu senator said.

According to Citizen Digital, the MP is said to have escaped on a motorbike after a dramatic car chase involving his official vehicle.

His driver was allegedly held at gunpoint, taken to the DCI headquarters, and released later that night.

Koimburi’s legal team and supporters have since condemned the incident, calling it unlawful and politically motivated.

Advocate Stephen Mbugua accused the police of violating a court order that barred any attempt to arrest the MP.

The order, issued in February by Justice Abigail Mshila of the Kiambu High Court, followed forgery-related charges filed against the MP at the Kiambu Law Courts.
