He disputed Gachagua’s claims that the Mt. Kenya community was marginalised following the impeachment, saying the region’s people were not ousted but remained part of the Kenya Kwanza government.

"Let it be clear: we did not impeach the Kikuyu community, nor the people of Mt. Kenya. We impeached you, an individual whose conduct in office betrayed the trust of the people. Your record speaks for itself: marked by greed, paranoia, blackmail, propaganda, and opportunism. These are not the traits of leadership, but of self-interest and fear," Kiborek stated.

The MP, a member of President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), urged Gachagua to stop claiming to represent the people of Mt. Kenya and called on him to clarify his true intentions.

"Stop hiding behind the community. You are not the community, you are one man desperate to shield his ambitions behind the name of good people," Kiborek added.

Kiborek also suggested that Gachagua’s frequent criticism of the government stems from his concern that the country continues to progress without him in office.

"And we are just getting started. Buckle up, because this time, the politics of fear and division will no longer hold us back," he said.

Did Gachagua call out Ruto supporters in Mt. Kenya?

This comes hours after Gachagua openly declared war on Mt. Kenya leaders who support President William Ruto’s administration, escalating tensions in the region.

Speaking at a church service in AIPCA, Kangema constituency, Gachagua branded politicians from the vote-rich Mt. Kenya region, still backing Ruto, as 'traitors'

He urged residents to vote out these leaders in the 2027 elections and back those who have remained loyal to the region.

The former deputy president accused the Kenya Kwanza government of marginalising Mt. Kenya by removing its members from key posts and assigning them less significant roles.
