"Nishikwe nikiwa nimeibia nani? Stop being jealous and spreading claims on social media. Stop talking too much and let's meet on the ground," he stated.

The legislator blamed his political rivals for his troubles, urging them to focus on service delivery instead of politics.

He added that if they were not given the chance to serve Kenyans, they should stay quietly at home.

"Once defeated, stay at home and stop inciting others. Those who are competing with me, who do you think you are? I am not competing with you," Sunkuyia said.

Did Sunkuyia forge his academic papers?

According to the charge sheet obtained by TUKO.co.ke, Sunkuyia faced forgery charges under Section 345, as read with Section 349 of the Penal Code.

“George Risa Sunkuyia, at an unspecified time and location within Kenya, forged a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with serial number 2988068, showing a mean grade of C+, falsely representing it as an authentic document issued by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), knowing this to be untrue," the charge sheet read.

Sunkuyia also faced additional charges of providing false information to the EACC, in breach of Section 46(1)(d) read with Section 46(2) of the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012.

The charge sheet further stated that on February 27, 2017, at the EACC offices in Nairobi, while serving as a member of the County Assembly, Sunkuyia knowingly submitted false information on a self-declaration form, claiming to hold a diploma in county governance from Mount Kenya University, a fact he was aware was untrue.

Munyeti appeared at Milimani Law Courts, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of using a forged Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate, falsely claimed to be genuine and issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), to secure his job at the water company.
