Sudi said the duel between President William Ruto and Gachagua won't be an easy run for the latter, asking him to prepare himself accordingly.

Why Oscar Sudi is angry at Gachagua

He blasted the former deputy president and his faction for advancing empty rhetoric against Ruto, whom he suggested is busy working for Kenyans.

"I see you are going round singing "one term". You have no other agenda. Look for another slogan and make sure it does not ruin your head. I hope you have registered for the Social Health Authority (SHA) because I see things going south for you and SHA will come in handy," Sudi fired.

He went on to disparage Gachagua for allegedly inciting communities against each other in the run-up to 2027.

Sudi asked Kenyans, especially those from Gachagua's native community, not to buy his talk and live without any fear wherever they are.

"He should not incite you. Wherever you are, that is your home. We want peaceful coexistence in Kenya. Gachagua and his team should wait for us; the elections are coming soon, and we will face off with them when that time comes," Sudi said.

Sudi's sentiments followed Gachagua's assertion that he had cornered Ruto politically and that the latter stood no chance of a second term.

During a political gathering at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s home in Kitui County on May 29, Gachagua expressed confidence on the pressure he has exerted on the president, suggesting that Ruto is already unsettled.

He asserted that Ruto has exhausted all possible strategies to regain voter support and is now awaiting defeat.

Gachagua reaffirmed the opposition’s determination to unite against Ruto, expressing optimism that their coalition would form the next government.

Who will opposition field against Ruto?

Regarding their presidential candidate, he emphasised that the team would consult and select the most viable contender at the appropriate time.

He cautioned against premature announcements, arguing that revealing their candidate too soon could allow their opponent to counter their strategy.
