They landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington on Friday morning, July 11.
"Accompanied by my beloved spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, I arrived at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington to kick off my diaspora engagement with Kenyans in the USA and the international community on issues affecting our beloved country. I was warmly welcomed by jubilant Kenyans here, and I am truly excited. The love and support are unmatched. God bless Kenya!" Gachagua said after the rousing welcome.
Gachagua is slated to engage with his supporters, to whom he will advance his political agenda in readiness for the 2027 general election.
Also in his company is PLP leader Martha Karua.
The two leaders are expected to pontificate about the agenda they have for the country as an alternative to Ruto's.
How Gachagua exploded on Ruto before US trip
This would be Gachagua's first trip outside the country since he was impeached.
Before leaving for the US, Gachagua sustained his tirades against the president.
The leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) sharply criticised Ruto over alleged state-sponsored violence targeting Mt Kenya residents.

In a strongly worded social media statement posted on July 9, Gachagua reaffirmed his accusations, arguing that Ruto should be personally held responsible for the unrest.
He rejected the president’s call to report those responsible, pointing out the irony of expecting victims to seek justice from police officers who, according to him, were involved in the very acts of violence.
He told Ruto: "Give us a break! How do we report state-sponsored millitia and those who organized them to the police who supervised them as they burned and looted property? You are asking us to name those who organised? I named you as the person responsible for unleashing violence against the community that made you President. How do I report you to the same police you directed to supervise and protect the militia as they brutalised Kenyans."
How will Ruto face the law for his alleged actions?
Gachagua's was a response to Ruto’s earlier remarks, in which the head of state urged individuals with knowledge of the recent attacks on Mt Kenya businesses to identify the perpetrators and make formal reports to the authorities.
Ruto had dismissed allegations of state-sponsored violence as unfounded and politically charged.
In rebuttal, Gachagua stood by his claims, asserting that he had already named Ruto as the figure behind the violence targeting Mt Kenya residents.
He further accused the president of ignoring the region's anguish, pointing out the lack of official sympathy or condemnation.
Gachagua concluded by suggesting that Ruto could ultimately be held accountable by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
