Junet Mohamed says Gachagua's 'hate' for Ruto won't make ODM desert him: "Sisi tunamaliza tu safari"
Speaking in Seattle during a meeting with Kenyans living in the US, Gachagua dismissed any notion that Ruto remains politically viable.
He declared that not even a united front with former prime minister Raila Odinga would save Ruto from a humiliating defeat at the ballot.
"The elections will be sorted out through the ballot, and I can tell you, even if they are together with Raila in the ballot, we'll beat him 70%+1," Gachagua said, dismissing both leaders as out of touch.
Gachagua, who has recently intensified his efforts to reposition himself as a key player in the 2027 race, struck a defiant tone.
He insisted that the united opposition movement had gained significant ground across the country and was now strong enough to defeat any coalition between Ruto and Raila.
Why did Gachagua castigate Raila?
He went further to ridicule Raila's role in the current political setup, accusing him of offering blind support to a regime that has failed to listen to the people.

ODM MP Caleb Amisi pens bold letter to Raila, asks him to dump Ruto and lead opposition: “Ni kubaya”
Referring to Raila’s recent criticism of the government’s shoot-to-kill order during protests, Gachagua questioned the authenticity of such statements.
"I've seen Raila castigating the shoot-to-kill order. How can he? William Ruto is his partner. Why is he addressing him through the press? They are brothers. They just sit and talk and agree that this is wrong and they should stop it. So Raila Odinga, please, people of Kenya are not stupid. This is your brother. You see, you work together. Go to his office. Why is he telling us," Gachagua said.
How is Raila irrelevant in the 2027 polls?
He accused Raila of political theatre, suggesting that public condemnations of government actions were only meant to deceive Kenyans into believing he was not part of the same establishment he helped prop up.
The former DP argued that Raila had lost his political bases and his traditional Nyanza turf was divided after his agreement with Ruto.

According to the former DP, even if Raila runs again, Ruto would not benefit, arguing, Raila’s entry into the race would expose just how weak Ruto’s base had become.
"You know, so I can tell you Raila Odinga brings nothing to the table. The Kambas who are behind him, they have left, the Kisiis who are behind him, they have left, the Luhyas have left, the Maasais have left and the Luo nation is divided in the middle. Even if they are together, we'll beat them 70%+1. Okay.
If Raila decides to run, Ruto will be number four in the election. So there's no problem. Either way, either way, we are okay. Yeah, it's one term. So don't be worried at all, at all, at all. The people of Kenya have made decisions. Those decisions are finalised and nothing will change," he added.
Why did Sudi celebrate Gachagua's departure?
