The head of state inaugurated the newly rehabilitated Bridge Savannah-Stage 17-Masimba Road, which connects Embakasi Central and Embakasi East.

In his speech, the president emphasised that he has a more effective plan for Kenya, stressing that the nation requires peace and unity rather than conflict and division.
While hitting out at the opposition led by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader stated that the country cannot afford to waste time on violence and ethnic politics.
Ruto argued that the country cannot afford to concentrate on tribal politics when millions of young people are jobless.
“We have no time for violence, chaos, and ethnicity. We want to build our country,” Ruto said as the crowd chanted two-term.
Why William Ruto criticised the opposition
Ahead of the 2027 General Election, Ruto challenged opposition leaders to focus on offering real solutions rather than inciting youths to cause violence in the name of demonstration.
“Anybody who has a plan for Kenya should tell these young people what plan they have for them to have jobs. I have a plan. Let them come with theirs,” Ruto said.

The head of state announced that 20,000 additional youths will be employed under the Climate WorX Programme as a way of resolving unemployment in the country.

Will William Ruto hand over power in 2027?
In other news, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader rubbished the opposition's call for his removal from office.
During a church service at Kivaywa Primary School on Sunday, June 15, Ruto hinted at not handing over power to the current opposition in 2027.
Ruto claimed it would be wrong to hand over power to people who have no plans to advance the country's development agenda.
According to Ruto, beyond promoting tribal politics, Gachagua's team lacks the agenda for the Kenyan people.
