Speaking to TV47, the DNA chairperson, Walter Nyambane, encouraged the young people to join the party.
"We are calling on them to come and occupy the space. That is the assurance that we want to give to our young people. It's amazing what time can do, if the president has forgotten how he can leave office. Mr. President, how did you get there in the first place?" Nyambane said.
Did DNA leaders call out William Ruto's govt?
The party leaders further called out the Kenya Kwanza regime, stating that it is difficult to imagine a stable country under Ruto's leadership.
Muluka, who once served as the former ANC secretary-general, argued Ruto has lost his popularity even in his stronghold in Rift Valley, citing instances where residents protested against him.
"In your own base, Eldoret people are saying that you must go home. Do Kenyans want to remove President William Ruto? Yes. They are telling him very clearly that he must go. Do you want to do that extra-constitutionally? I don't think so. I don't think there is any individual who has any capacity to mobilise young people in the manner in which we have seen," DNA secretary general Barack Muluka said.
Pundits have argued that the party may be laying a foundation for Mudavadi's presidential ambitions since it is comprised of his former allies.
However, Mudavadi has come forward to deny any ties with the new party, seemingly hinting at his commitment to the ruling party. He further termed the claims as baseless.
"If I wanted to join a new political party, I could do it. If I wanted to merge, I would do it. It is very clear. As far as I am concerned, a decision was made. The proper party resolutions were undertaken and procedures were followed, and the ANC party merged with UDA," he told the outlet.
Is Mudavadi planning to vie for presidency?

The leaders argued that they plan to support Ruto's re-election in 2027 in a bid to have UDA back Mudavadi's ambition of running for presidency.
The outgoing ANC chair, Kelvin Lunani, urged the delegates to unite in a bid to support Ruto's re-election.
