The raid on Uhuru's property in March 2023 came amid claims that he was bankrolling the protests by the opposition, then led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
According to Kuria's account on Saturday, July 19, the attack on Uhuru's Northlands farm in Ruiru was aimed at puncturing the protests on account that the former president was behind it.
The revelation was sparked by Gachagua's claim that Kuria is working with former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga to advance the government agenda in Mt Kenya.
He claimed Gachagua paid the goons.
"Rigathi Gachagua has accused me during his tour of the US of funding and supporting Maina Njenga. I am guilty as charged. I learnt from the best. I was in the room when Rigathi paid the same people money to steal Uhuru Kenyatta's goats from Northlands," Kuria claimed via X.

The attack on the former president's farm was unprecedented.,
Being a former head of state, Uhuru is entitled to maximum security provided for by the state.
At the time his farm was raided, he had been at loggerheads with the state, which accused him of being partisan and working with the opposition.
At the height of the opposition protests in March 2023, people were mobilised to trespass onto his farm.

Are Kuria and Gachagua political enemies?
The duo have lately been trading barbs, accusing and counteraccusing each other as they scramble for the Mt Kenya political supremacy.
Often, the former deputy president accuses Kuria of being a stooge of President William Ruto to divide the region.
Kuria resigned from the government earlier this month, and some quarters argue that he was purposely let go to concentrate on his mission in Mt Kenya.
On his part, he accuses Gachagua of striving to position himself as the go-to leader of Mt Kenya for his gain.
He regards the former deputy president as a nondescript in politics, having served in parliament for one term only and later got the grace to be the country's second in command.
