This, he said, is due to Raila's recent working arrangement with Ruto and his administration.

How did Ruto bring Raila on board?
According to Gachagua, the post-election period exposed a government dominated by one man, Ruto.
“When we got into government, it was a one-man show,” said Gachagua. “He made every decision alone, and all of them served his own interests. I raised my concerns early on, but they were ignored.”
The former second-in-command further alleged that Ruto quickly consolidated power by capturing both the National Assembly and the Senate, while also neutralising key oversight institutions that would have otherwise questioned his leadership.
With all checks silenced, Gachagua claimed Ruto turned to co-opt the only remaining critic, Raila.
“He said to me, ‘Let’s bring in this man. He loves money, so we’ll offer him some to stay quiet.’ And just like that, Raila started dining at the table. He’s silent now because his mouth is full,” Gachagua told the gathering, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.

Gachagua declares war on Raila, Ruto
According to Gachagua, it did not matter whether Ruto or Raila won, as the outcome would have been the same: corruption and personal enrichment.
“There was no lesser evil. They are both hyenas. I just happened to pick the one with sharper teeth, and it turned on me,” he said, referencing his political fallout and impeachment just two years into office.
Gachagua also dismissed the Jubilee Party's recent hints that it may support Raila’s presidential bid in 2027 if he distances himself from Ruto.
He called such a possibility naïve and misleading, saying the two leaders are inseparable and cannot be trusted with the country’s future.
“Raila and Ruto are birds of the same feather. If Kenya is to move forward, we must get rid of them both, because they are Kenya's problem,” he declared.

Is Gachagua snitching on Ruto to US authorities?
In a related development, Gachagua said he had full evidence of Ruto’s alleged wrongdoings and planned to present it to the relevant authorities during his ongoing tour of the US.
He claimed to have witnessed key meetings and promised to share detailed information with relevant investigators.
He went on to accuse the president of holding a secret meeting with al-Shabaab operatives in Mandera, raising alarm over Ruto’s decision to suspend vetting of foreigners before issuing them Kenyan IDs.
Gachagua warned that such moves posed a serious global security threat.
He urged the president to face the claims head-on instead of blaming Kenya's relations with China.
