Wandayi revealed that opposition leader Raila Odinga directed the Nyanza region to support Ruto, asserting that the backing will extend until 2032.
Speaking during a recent meeting in Migori, Wandayi praised Ruto’s leadership, noting the transformational changes he has witnessed across the country.
Addressing the grassroots leaders, Wandayi spoke at length about the directive, tying it to what he described as the president’s proven track record and the region’s commitment to national progress.
He said his role in government had given him first-hand insight into Ruto’s achievements.
"Your Excellency, you have given me the opportunity to travel across the country, and I can report to you that this country bears witness in totality to your transformational leadership. This country is going to reward you handsomely, and I am proud that when the time comes, this community, this region, this area will reward you alongside them," Wandayi stated.
He then delivered what many saw as a major political statement, linking his remarks directly to Raila’s leadership in Nyanza.
"We have been instructed by our leader, Raila Amolo Odinga, to work with and fully support His Excellency President William Ruto, and that is exactly what we are doing," Wandayi revealed.
