A study by Politrack Africa indicated that the CS outdid himself in various areas of focus, including leadership and initiative, best governance practices, service delivery, transparency and accountability, and public impact.

The pollster ranked Wandayi as one with the best strategy across ministries, good representation, ministry openness, and enhanced citizen satisfaction.
He scored 65.3% to be ranked top.
The CS joined the Cabinet a year ago after being called up alongside other ODM luminaries, birthing the broad-based government.
Five thousand respondents were sampled from across all 47 counties to inform the findings.
The findings posted a margin of error of +/-4% and a confidence level of 95%.
Top 10 best-performing CSs in Ruto's Cabinet
Others who fared well in the survey were Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, who trailed Wandayi with 63.1%, and Interior's Kipchumba Murkomen tying in third place with Geoffrey Ruku of the Public Service docket, both posting 61%.
Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui also made it to the top 10 with 57.5%.
Other best-performing CSs according to Politrack are Water and Sanitation's Eric Muuga (56.8%), ICT CS William Kabogo (55.2%), Lands CS Alice Wahome (53.4%), National Treasury's John Mbadi (52.7%), Salim Mvurya of Sports (52.1%), and Rebecca Miano of Tourism (51.6%).

Despite the CS's remarkable performance, there are still Kenyans who don't feel the impact of their works and believe the country is not heading in the right direction.

What is the state of corruption in Kenya?
The 2024 National Ethics and Corruption Survey (NECS) reveals that corruption remains deeply entrenched in major government bodies, significantly hindering fair access to public services.
Five institutions—Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Ministry of Social Protection, National Social Security Fund (NSSF), Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and the National Treasury—were flagged for having a 100% incidence rate of corruption, with citizens reportedly having to pay bribes every time they seek services from these entities.
Other government offices with notably high corruption levels include the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), deputy county commissioners’ offices, and departments under Public Works and Transport.
The report identifies critical service areas—such as recruitment, passport processing, police clearance, contract issuance, and land dispute resolution—as particularly vulnerable to corrupt practices.
Which government ministries, departments are more corrupt?
Additional services prone to bribery include CDF bursary applications, university admissions, Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) card processing, and residential land surveys.

The Ministry of Interior was singled out as having a high likelihood of unethical conduct.
Other departments with significant corruption rates include:

- Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development (4.7%)
- Ministry of Education (4.1%)
- Kenya Police (38.2%)
- Immigration Department (5.1%)

- Traffic Police (3.6%)
- Civil Registry (3.4%)
- Social Health Authority (SHA) (2.7%)
Bribery was the most prevalent form of corruption in public offices, accounting for 51.15% of reported cases.
Other forms included nepotism, misuse of authority, tribal bias, and favouritism toward family members.
