The session builds on the memorandum of understanding signed by the two leaders last year and is shaping the future of bipartisan cooperation.
At the centre of discussions is a 10-point programme being steered by a committee chaired by former nominated senator Agnes Zani.
The agenda touches on economic recovery, job creation, lowering the cost of living, electoral reforms, youth and women empowerment, strengthening devolution, and anti-corruption measures.
They are also deliberating on provisions for healing and compensation for families affected by past protests.
The meeting is also reaffirming the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report, which charts a path for bipartisan reforms in Parliament. These include electoral justice, sustainable political party funding, and a shared framework for budget-making.
What Ruto said about the Karen PG meeting
Ruto said the joint meeting was a turning point for progressive leadership in the country ahead of the 2027 poll.
According to the president, the country's transformation agenda will be accelerated following the bipartisan unity.
"That is the power of decisive, visionary leadership: turning potential into progress. This is the spirit we must now summon across every sector of our economy. Together, across party lines, through bipartisan unity, and with unshakable resolve, we are accelerating our national transformation. Kenya is rising. The race to glory is on. Which team is overseeing the Ruto-Raila MoU?
The meeting comes a few weeks after Ruto and Raila issued a joint statement regarding the status of their MoU.
In the statement, the duo appointed a committee to oversee the implementation of their 10-point agenda.
Former nominated senator Agnes Zani will chair a team including Fatuma Ibrahim, Kevin Kiarie, Gabriel Oguda, and Javas Bigambo.
Executive teams from UDA and ODM will support their work. The team will submit bi-monthly reports to Ruto, Raila, and a joint parliamentary group meeting of lawmakers from both parties.
The move was seen as a clear attempt to safeguard the working relationship of the broad-based government.
