The appointments came months after the party discovered that advocate Kepher Ojijo had been presenting himself as the party’s secretary general.

Wajackoyah distanced himself from Ojijo, accusing him of deliberately and repeatedly misrepresenting his role in multiple media appearances for more than two years, including televised interviews.

According to him, Ojijo had no official authority or legitimate role within the RPK.

Through its legal representatives, the party issued a demand letter instructing Ojijo to immediately retract his claims, issue a public apology across all media platforms, and compensate RPK KSh 10 million for damages arising from his misrepresentation.

Wajackoyah described Ojijo’s actions as fraudulent, emphasising that the party’s leadership structure is clear and that Ojijo had never held the position he claimed.

Did Kepher Ojijo respond to Wajackoyah?

In response, Ojijo, through his advocate, challenged the party’s claims, stating:

“See you in court. If Wajackoyah and the Roots Party imagine any legal battle, we are already in the arena!”

He insisted that RPK had appointed him as its spokesperson in 2023 and that Wajackoyah had publicly confirmed the appointment on all his social media platforms.

Will Wajackoyah run for the presidency?

Meanwhile, Wajackoyah kicked off his presidential political tour in the coastal region ahead of the 2027 elections.

The tour featured entertainment from acrobatic performers, visits to Rasta temples, and meetings with Gen Z supporters in the Deep South.

Wajackoyah used the visit to reaffirm his presidential bid and outline his firm anti-corruption stance, while also affirming that he would not join any political alliance.
