Speaking on Thursday, August 21, the outspoken politician stated that there is not enough security at the Bunge Towers.

While seemingly hinting at the magnitude of the matter, Cherargei claimed that there was a man who gained access to the Bunge towers, went all the way to the 24th floor, where he took a shower.

According to the politician, the man also accessed the gym in the building before falling asleep till the next morning.

"Are you aware, Senator Wambua, that there is a stranger who accessed this bunge tower a week ago, went to the 24th floor. He was found in the morning by the police. So there is no security," Cherargei stated.

He further seemingly hinted at President William Ruto's bribery allegations against the Senators, stating that the Executive is also attacking them.

"We are being invaded by everybody, strangers, the executive and anybody. So we are no longer safe," Cherargei reiterated.

He hit out at Speaker Moses Wetang'ula of the National Assembly and Amason Kingi of the Senate, stating that they have failed to protect the house from attacks from the executive.

"That is why I am saying the speakers we have are very weak, that's what we are trying to say. It is the work of the speakers and the leadership to protect an institution. That is why you are seeing contempt against Parliament. It is because we have weak speakers," he emphasised.
