Sifuna disclosed that alongside other vocal lawmakers, they have been facing threats from certain quarters, but insisted that they will not back down on pointing out government mistakes.

“We will not keep quiet when things go wrong. Those who are plotting against us will not succeed. We are going through these things because we have refused to kneel to Nebuchadnezzar. We are the ones who have said that bad is bad. We are the ones who have said we are ready to die for the things we believe in. As leaders who lead God's creatures, we cannot see things going wrong in our nation and then remain silent just because we will be cowards," Sifuna said.

On his part, Embakasi East Babu Owino challenged the president to tackle corruption seriously instead of pointing fingers at Members of Parliament.
